The luncheon kicked off with boutique shopping from a distinguished group of luxury retailers and artisans. Wonderful wares, including jewelry, scarves and décor, were offered at the boutique which donated a percentage of its sales to The Auxiliary of NorthShore at Highland Park Hospital.

After shopping, guests had an opportunity to hear about the organization’s fundraising successes of the past year from outgoing Auxiliary president, Abbe Silverberg Sparks. At the luncheon, Abbe proudly announced that the organization had culminated a mutli-year commintemt with this year’s Annual Appeal, raising $865,000 to further the excellence at NorthShore Highland Park Hospital. Murray Ancell, president of NorthShore Foundation, attended the luncheon to personally thank The Auxiliary for their continued support and to accept the generous contribution.

The Auxiliary also honored four of its longtime members for their steadfast commitment to the 91 year old organization and its mission. Throughout their tenure as Auxiliary members, Marilyn Winter, Marjorie Barron, Joanna Brofman and Hortense Coplan, have worked tirelessly to support NorthShore Highland Park Hospital and the communities it serves.
