September 22, 2010, CHICAGO — Seth Rudetsky, Sirius/ XM Radio and Broadway Star makes his Chicago performance debut on October 8th with a two night only presentation of his a-maah-zing hilarious interactive show, Deconstructing Broadway at The Music Theatre Company Space in Highland Park. A presentation of Chicago-based MSG Productions, LLC, Producer Missy Greenberg is responsible for bringing this Broadway mega talent to the Windy City. Tickets are $40 at Theatremania http://www.theatermania.com/content/show.cfm/show/169780
Bringing his own private video and audio collection, Seth will show Chicago audiences how to deconstruct what’s vocally amazing (Patti LuPone in Evita) and what’s a vocal travesty (Madonna singing the same material). Video highlights (lowlights?) include the short-lived Brady Bunch Variety Hour and Cher performing all of the roles in West Side Story. Deconstructing Broadway has toured all over the United States, and continues to be sold out in every Manhattan venue it is performed. Seth’s enthusiasm for superior vocal talent and his love of theater is infectious and his on stage delivery of his material never fails to have the entire audience aching from laughter. You won’t want to miss this two night only event full of the good, the bad, and the laughable.
An actor, comedic genius and vocal coach, Seth was featured as the on-camera vocal coach on MTV’s Legally Blonde: Search for Elle Woods reality television show. As a comic, he won the title “Funniest Gay Male in NY” at Stand-Up NY, had a long-running show at Caroline’s Comedy Club and spent two years as a comedy writer on THE ROSIE O’DONNELL SHOW (three Emmy nominations). Seth was recently featured on two episodes of this season’s the Kathy Griffin show.
