I treat every day as International Women’s Day. As a working mom of two teenagers — a daughter in college and a son who is college-bound in 2014 – each day involves a great bit of mothering, promoting causes and issues I represent and/or believe in, as well as running a woman-owned business — all to help move the dial towards the betterment of this world. We call this multi-tasking. I call this life.
The environment, women’s issues, health, education, bullying, gun violence, motherhood and entertainment are a few of my many undertakings to further awareness and affect change that will lead to a brighter future for all — especially my children Each March, thousands of events are held around the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements.
So, make a difference, think globally and act locally!! Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding.
Update for 2017. I did it! My daughter is now a college graduate and resides in New York City working for a sports organization; my son is currently a junior in college. Yes, I can say I am a proud mother!
