I loved everything about this new restaurant located on the North Shore’s Highland Park. While its still in soft opening mode & has some minor tweaks to do, it didn’t matter to me. Being a city gal at heart & transplanted New Yorker, I long for restaurants like Moderno in the burbs! Staff catered to my every whim, adjusting their delectable dishes to my picky tastebuds (no chili peppers, no fattening cheese…) The mussels were to die for as was the rigatoni dish i had with tomato, sausage, romani. Besides the scrumptious service & food, the ambience is amazing. I really felt like I was in the city. Once the tweaks are in place, you will have a hard time getting in, because Moderno promises to be the ultimate hot spot dining & socializing destination! Totally worth the trip. Did I mention that if you don’t like their wine list, you can bring your own for a $10 corkage fee? I just love it!
